Since 1996 my focus has been on residential construction.  Since 2004, my specialty has been energy efficiency, building science, Permaculture, sustainability and kayaking. I not only help you prioritize your home projects, I can help you get them accomplished.

B.S. Building Construction Management, Michigan State University. Since graduating in 1996, I have supervised all phases of construction on hundreds of homes across the nation. The policies, procedures and training provided by my corporate employers nurtured my understanding of construction practices and principles. The end result is education and experience that is here to personally serve and protect your interests.

Resnet Nationally Certified Home Energy Rater. Raters are the energy efficiency experts that understand how a home performs as a system. This understanding is known as building science. Using specialized equipment and the laws of thermodynamics we expose the mysteries of a home’s performance. You deserve an inspector that can identify existing and potential problems and recommend cost effective solutions to address these potential problems.

Solar Living Institute, Hopland California. Disatisfied with the traditional American construction philosophy, I quit my corporate career and pursued an education in Perma-culture. As an intern for 5 months, I studied passive solar design, active solar technologies, sustainable and green construction materials and methods, organic farming, grey and green water systems, yoga and relaxation.

University of Life and Travel-  I enjoy traveling.  I was a student at the University of Zimbabwe for an academic year, I have hiked 435 miles of the Appalachian Trail, back packed in South East Asia, Southern Africa, South America and the United States of America.  I have been a drummer for 20 years and enjoy playing music.  I love kayaking and the camping that comes with it.  I truly enjoy life and have a love for life.   I am working on a few art projects and the art of Magic. 

Construction practices and standards are always evolving.  I believe in doing the right things for the right reasons.  I stay ahead and informed.  I moved to Boise Idaho in 2003.  It is home and where is the birth place of Professional Inspection Services and Affordable Energy Improvements.
